Something funny occurred to me today. I often don't know how to answer the questions that my coworker's ask me in the lunchroom, because my mind floods. I do so many things, and I'm more or less constantly learning to do more things. So, while I'm standing there, overpouring coffee into a mug that may or may not be there, I'm doing the math on the likelihood that I'll overshare with someone who may just be trying to be polite. How are you doing? What have you been up to lately?
I suppose I'll have to tell you instead.
My first children's book launched on Amazon Kindle today. It's an adorable reimagining of a childhood pet that walked my sister and I to school as children. My niece is learning how to read, and she gets the first edition hard copy. I ran into so many odd problems with publishing... I could not for the life of me find a place that would touch a kids book under 22 pages - most wanted 32. Yikes.
This Friday, I'll finish the soft launch of my books, paper, and bookmarks on FB Marketplace. I'm well underway so far. Eventually, I'll expand beyond the Edmonton area, but I just don't want to deal with shipping right now.
I've been trying to make glue. No I do not know enough about chemistry to be doing that properly or...safely.
I am drying flowers for either pigment or paper. We'll see.
I made a new DnD character - my first spell caster. There's entirely too many things to know about that. Of course, I couldn't just make the character though; I also had to make a whole leather bound book for her.
If it were appropriate to do so, I'd just tell people that my fingers get bored.
